Welcome to my slice of the internet! During the day, I'm an experienced backend software engineer (ex-Google, ex-IBM) located in Brooklyn, NY. Here, you can learn more about my work, current projects, and connect with me. Additionally, you can check out some of my community organizing, game development, and baking work.
What I'm Up To
Etherverse Card Game
I've been an avid gamer since childhood. I especially have a love of tabletop games, which I find blend social and competitive dynamics pretty well. Card games hold a special place in my heart. I was a huge fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! as a child and am a big Magic: the Gathering fan now. This experience with card games led me to design my own. Etherverse is a tactical card game that blends some of the charm of Magic: the Gathering with a bit of the spatial strategy of minis. I'm currently accepting folks to help playtest the game and give feedback! Website coming soon!
Flatbush Mixtape (Come Organize With Us!)
Flatbush Mixtape is a vibrant grassroots mutual-aid collective dedicated to fostering leadership and neighborly bonds within our community. Our mission is to empower every individual to become a catalyst for change, ensuring that basic needs are met through the cultivation of a solidarity economy. By weaving together diverse talents and resources, we create innovative opportunities for collective support and resilience, aiming to inspire an environment where everyone thrives. I currently serve as Volunteer Coordinator, helping mobilize neighbors to assist in our community efforts like food distributions.
[Re-]Learning Math!
Mathematics is a longtime love of mine. I've been away from it too long, and I've decided to go back to basics, reteach myself some basics (calculus, linear algebra, etc.), and then explore more complex topics. I'm currently re-learning probability, following Sheldon Ross's A First Course in Probability.
